A squishy making kit is the simplest answer to “how do I make a squishy” when you do not want to hunt for balloons, flour and a funnel. Everything is in the box and the result is repeatable. We stock three kinds of kit, and each makes a different type of squishy, so pick the type first and the kit second.
Squishy making kits: three kinds
1. TPR skins with fillers (balloon-style stress balls). Instead of balloons you get clear, soft TPR skins, plus an air pump, an expander tool and five fillers. The finished piece springs back fast like a stress ball. DIY squishy making kit with 15 TPR skins, fillers and pump makes 15 pieces.
2. Liquid silicone with taba molds. Mix the two parts, pour into a mold, and after 24 hours you demold a soft, bouncy taba squishy. The molds are reusable. Taba squishy making kit with 8 molds.
3. Liquid silicone with animal molds (paw, capybara, bunny). Same technique as taba, but the box has the full set of extras: glow-in-the-dark powder, glitter, flocking powder, colour paste, cups, sticks, anti-stick gel and storage bags. Kit with paw, capybara and bunny molds.

How to make a squishy with the TPR skin kit
- Put the expander tool into the skin’s opening and spread it.
- Pour in the filler of your choice; mix fillers to change the texture.
- Press the air out, slide on a ring, push in the plug and trim the tie.
- Squeeze a few times: too firm, pour some filler out; too loose, add more.
Skins and small parts are not for young children without supervision.
How to make a squishy with liquid silicone
- Put on gloves and cover the table; silicone is hard to remove from wood and fabric.
- Measure A and B in equal parts (1:1) and stir until the colour is even.
- Add colour paste, glitter or glow-in-the-dark powder.
- Coat the mold with anti-stick gel, pour, and leave for 24 hours.
- Demold and store in a bag. Charge glow pieces under a lamp.
Which kit to choose
- For kids who want a result right away: the TPR skins. No waiting, no mixing.
- For someone who enjoys crafting and wants many pieces from one box: taba with 8 molds.
- As a gift: the paw, capybara and bunny kit, because it has the full set of extras and glow effects.
None of these kits makes slow-rising foam squishies. If that is what you want, the ready-made ones are in the squishy shop, and the home methods are in our guide on how to make a squishy at home.
FAQ
How much does a squishy making kit cost? The three kits are $21.99 to $29.99.
Is a squishy making kit suitable for children? The TPR skin kit is the simplest, but skins and small parts need supervision. The liquid silicone kits are made together with an adult, wearing gloves.
How long does silicone take to cure? The maker states 24 hours; after that the piece is not sticky and keeps its bounce.
What is a kit squishy made of? Either a TPR skin packed with filler or cured silicone; none of the kits contains the polyurethane foam used for slow-rising squishies.
How do I fix a squishy that split? A silicone piece can be repaired with leftover A and B mix applied to the split and cured for 24 hours. Do not glue a split TPR skin: pour the filler into a new skin from the kit.
